If I were a musical melody

I would sound like the tormented
rise and fall of the Roman empire
my body would twist and jerk
tumultuously
under the strong breeze
Of salty, wet air
and a
reigning full moon
casting rays over
the supple sea

I’d be the howling of
the wind
through the trees
and the crack, crackling
of branches
breaking and thudding
to the ground
in rhythmic sequence

like suspended orgasm,
i would rise
like a tidal wave
and come crashing forth with
the force of a shuddering
volcano erupting
onto
soft earth
